The western high-speed corridor
Haramain is the high-speed railway serving Makkah, Jeddah Al-Sulimaniyah, King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Abdullah Economic City, and Madinah. The operator’s introduction describes an electric railway approximately 450 kilometers long, with operating speeds up to 300 kilometers per hour. These are railway characteristics, not guaranteed journey times for every station pair.
Keep this route separate from the inland North and East passenger corridors. A high-speed train illustration beside a skyline is not proof of service to that city. Our Haramain route page and rail schematic show the corridor without implying unverified connections.
Choose exact stations
For Jeddah, distinguish the city station from King Abdulaziz International Airport station. Check the full station name in the booking and use that name when arranging a transfer. Do not rely on a generic “Jeddah train” description.
For an airport connection, establish the actual route between your terminal and the railway. Allow for arrival procedures, luggage collection, and reaching the station before the train’s boarding requirements. Separately purchased flights and trains should not be assumed to provide a protected connection.
Check departures at the source
Use the official Haramain timetable for the intended station pair and date. Review the arrival time and stopping information before choosing a fare. SaudiRail.com does not maintain a live departure board or quote seat availability.

Pack for the railway
The Haramain baggage policy currently describes one large bag up to 25 kilograms and 65 × 55 × 35 centimeters, plus an additional hand-luggage item. Check the policy again before travel, including restricted items; an airline allowance is not a substitute for railway requirements.
Measure the bag, check the weight, and keep documents accessible. For unusual equipment or assistance requirements, contact the operator before traveling rather than assuming a general policy covers your circumstances.
Plan what happens after arrival
The station is not automatically the final destination. Confirm hotel access, pickup arrangements, or another local transfer in advance. For Makkah and any restricted destination, verify eligibility and current entry requirements separately with the relevant official authorities; a train ticket does not replace permission or authorization.
